About the Position

We are looking for some NV1 Project Managers to lead the delivery of a range of logistics disposals projects for a Federal Government agency. Your role will include working with a range of stakeholders across Government to plan, manage and deliver a broad range of disposal projects including major and minor platforms and equipment. In addition to being an experienced project manager, you will also use your well-developed commercial acumen to successfully deliver project outcomes. The role is based out of Canberra for an initial 12-month contract.  

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the development and delivery of disposal project plans in consultation with your stakeholders 

• Engaging with the master scheduler to ensure disposal project activities, milestones and critical pathways are captured in the Branch program schedule

• Developing and maintaining genuine relationship with a broad range of stakeholders from across the Federal Government Agency

• Working with your stakeholders to identify disposal options to optimise End of Life of Type activities and reduce waste whilst ensuring solutions comply with all Commonwealth, Departmental and international policies and guidelines

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of each project by conducting regular reviews of project milestones against actual indicators

• Identify and actively resolve issues with your stakeholders as they arise to mitigate any impact on project delivery

• Assist in various procurement activities and preparation of contract documentation and submissions

• Contract management of suppliers relating to the delivery of the projects you are leading

• Assist in the financial forecasting and reporting on allocated projects

This role will be perfect for individuals who have strong logistics project management and communication skills who enjoy liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain good working relationships. This role gives you the opportunity to work with a close-knit multidisciplinary team on one of the most complex and challenging section of this Federal Government Agency. 

You will be able to demonstrate: 

• Experience in large scale projects with complex materials management and logistics challenges

• Project management experience and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a multi-disciplinary sustainment and engineering environment

• Demonstrable ability to work in an organised well-ordered manner

• Highly developed written and oral communication and presentation skills

• Highly developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated commercial acumen

• You are an Australian Citizen and have a current NV1 security clearance
